Every year as part of the Secondary IV Culture and Citizenship in Quebec (CCQ) course, students at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal take part in The Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) project.

YPI is a multi-disciplinary social justice project where students address an issue of social justice in their community. The goal of YPI is to provide students with hands-on experience, through a strong academic philanthropy program which gives them the skills to assess community needs and pursue grants to charitable organizations.
